The list goes on. There's also the really great remix cd called that does a great job remixing a lot of songs that I highly recommend.Uhh.
Guess there wasn't many that really 'stuck out' to me in this game. I also really liked the music played on the PS3 home page when you hover over the game before actually starting it. Can't remember which one it was, though.Legendia's, and.Vesperia's, (pretty sure I just stayed in that town for hours with that song just playing on and on.), and.Yeah, no, I can't just pick a single one. And I'm sure I missed out one or a few that I also really like.
It's hard to say.I thought that Symphonia was one of my favorites because of rose-tinted nostalgia goggles, but it really does hold up. It's good stuff. It does charming and dramatic tones very well. I'd list my favorites, but that would be enough for an entire comment of its own (though pretty much nailed it on that front). As said, Abyss' soundtrack uses the main theme (Karma) throughout to great effect. The battle themes also grew on me. What Abyss does best, though, is sheer feels. I'm also strangely addicted to, which is super-repetitive but strangely addictive.I've been avoiding re-listening to Vesperia's OST in order to prepare for a replay (perhaps very soon!), but that also has some great stuff.
Is pretty ballin', though. The Xillia 1-2 OSTs are all right. Some tracks (rehashed Sakuraba field themes ahoy!) are mediocre, while others are excellent. I'm a fan of and the opening themes from both games.Zestiria's ranges from mediocre (rehashed Sakuraba field themes ahoy again, a single battle theme repeated at a slightly higher speed ahoy, etc.
Ahoy, ahoy mateys) to excellent (Zaveid the Exile, Rising Up, every temple theme ever, etc.). I wasn't a huge fan of Legendia's soundtrack in comparison to Sakuraba's work, but Go Shiina was absolutely killing it here. Also, G I G A N T O T H E M E, B O Y S!Speaking of Zestiria, I liked the more than the battle themes from the main game!
If they're looking for more musical talent for future games, this composer (I forget her name) would be a great choice.I hope that Berseria calls back to past games' musical styles a bit, as I largely prefer pre-Xillia, (kinda) post-Eternia soundtracks. Still, I'm sure it will be great either way. I look forward to it, even if I'll have to resist the urge to listen to the OST until the NA release. I thought that Symphonia was one of my favorites because of rose-tinted nostalgia goggles, but it really does hold up. It's good stuff. It does charming and dramatic tones very well. I'd list my favorites, but that would be enough.- I still think Phantasia has the best tunes (but obviously the worst sound quality). Eg, its battle theme. Next for me is probably Zestiria/Symphonia, then Abyss.(1) (2) (3)- Symphonia: Fatalize and Fighting of the Spirit are great, though they've already been linked here a few times.
I also quite like A Wood Carving Star Vesperia: I really liked quite a few of OSTs from this one. Furnace of War is a great battle theme.- In addition to being my favorite Tales Series OST, and probably my favorite battle theme of any RPG ever, Splendid Dance Performance of a Spirit is in my opinion one of the most underrated Tales OST.- If we look at the OST as a whole, I think Zestiria beats most every other Tales game.
Sure some of the tracks are the standard fare, but Go Shiina's tracks are all gold, and Sakuraba did end up going outside his normal box on several of his tracks as.- My favorite theme is Fatalyze/Abyssion from Tales of Symphonia(1) (2) (3) (4) (5) (6) (7)- Symphonia's Fighting of the Spirit and all of its remixes (such as this one), Fatalize and its funny kazoo rendition, Keen-Edged Blade, End of a Thought.
