DeanGeddes, Diabolically poor F1 game. Canadian ice hockey. Avoid!!I am normally a fan of F1 games, but this one is a real let down from Codemasters. If you think F1 Challenge is poor, then this is even worse. The concept of the game is stupid. It hardly even replicates Formula 1 at all.
It is designed to be more of a joke. Upon loading you get stupid messages like 'waking up pit crew' and 'fastening seat belts'. It is like a game for 5 year olds. I now now going to be deleting this app. I thought Codemasters was supposed to be a top game developer. Their F1 games for PC are top class, but this one is pathetic. It might as well not even be called F1.
What's more, as soon as I installed it, I was instantly asked if I wanted to spend money to progress through the game. I advise you to steer well clear of this game if you are looking for a proper Formula 1 game. Personally, I am sticking to the PC game.
Jan 21, 2014 That's the confusion of the concept: sometimes F1 Race Stars: Powered Up Edition is happy to let you race a Formula 1-shaped kart and dab the breaks occasionally, but sometimes wants you to use the ill-fitting tools for more precise cornering. As a result it can fluctuate from fun to frustrating, depending on the course. F1 Race Stars, released by Codemasters in late 2012 (featuring drivers and cars from that season, just like the year's official game, F1 2012) is esentially Formula One meets Mario Kart. Before that, there was also SD F-1 Grand Prix, released only in Japan for the Super Famicom in 1995.
